I am Adam Grumbo. I film in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, and I get on a plane when the story needs a bigger horizon. Amanera is that kind of place. At the last minute Daniela and Adam rebuilt the vendor team with Someone’s in the Kitchen (Valerie Rico and Joann Roth Oseary) and Legendary Events, then pulled off a party people still talk about. The coast that frames the whole weekend
From the air the resort reads as a single sentence. A pale walkway traces the cliff. Four white umbrellas sit in a line. A thatched pavilion hangs over the drop. Between the second and third umbrella, two small figures walk. That is Daniela and Adam, reduced to scale on purpose. The Caribbean does the rest. If you are considering Amanera for your own wedding, this is the honest establishing image. The water is that color. The path is that close to the edge. Then the camera comes down to the sand. Daniela in a high-neck gown with long bell sleeves and a shimmering geometric pattern. Adam in sunglasses and a short-sleeved matching set in olive, brown, and tan. Waves break behind them. This is not a stiff portrait. It is two people who already know how to stand next to each other, which is the whole point of a destination film.

The party that the cliff was built for
Night at Amanera is purple light, glass walls, and candles so close to the lens they go soft. Guests fill the room. Someone in a white shirt has both arms up. Destination weddings can get precious about the view. This one does not forget that a wedding is also a party, and that the party is how the family metabolizes the day.

A drone pull-back finds the empty stretch of Playa Grande, white surf, and the white villas tucked into the trees on the cliff. Amanera is luxury that does not shout. The architecture is quiet. The ocean is not.

From above, a white villa, an irregular infinity pool, and a cluster of guests in formal clothes on the terrace. Cocktail hour with a drop-off. This is why couples fly to the north coast. You can have the rainforest, the pool, and the Atlantic in one frame.
Dusk turns the building into a silhouette. Palms on the right. A gold leak of sun through heavy cloud. Waves chewing the rock. Super 8 would love this light. Digital holds it just as well. Either way, the still is a promise: your film will have somewhere to go when it needs a breath.

On a dark outcrop the gown spreads like a second horizon. Adam in black beside her. The ocean takes two thirds of the frame. This is the shot that sells the venue without a brochure. You can see why an Austin wedding videographer would get on a plane for it.
Then the first dance. Fog, a live band, hanging white florals, and a circular white floor with a script monogram, D n A. Adam dips Daniela in the sequined gown until her hair finds the floor. Legendary Events did not build a small party. They built a room that could hold this.

Amanera is a premier Dominican Republic destination for couples who want rainforest, cliff, and a real celebration in the same weekend. The north coast does half of the cinematography. The other half is waiting: waiting for the umbrellas to line up, waiting for the dip, waiting for the drone to find the two of them on the rock.
