Why couples film Camp Lucy with us

Camp Lucy sits in the Austin Hill Country with oak canopy, limestone, and warm evening light that rewards both cinematic digital and real film. Couples hire Adam Grumbo Wedding Films when they want a finished film their family will actually watch, not a folder of unused clips.

Published weekends already on the site are Sarah's Super 8 day in the vineyard and Wenjane and Susie's same-sex weekend at Sacred Oaks. Watch those first. Then ask for packages with your date.

Cinematic, Super 8, and 16mm at Camp Lucy

Cinematic digital covers the full story. Super 8 adds grain under oak light and string lights. Published kit notes from Sarah's Super 8 day include Canon 1014 XLS, Beaulieu 4008 mkII, and Eumig cameras on 100D Ektachrome and Vision 3 (50 and 500).

16mm is available when you want a richer film frame. Method notes live on Super 8 wedding film.

Published Camp Lucy weekends

Two Camp Lucy films are already on the site. Sarah's Super 8 day is at Camp Lucy Vineyards in Dripping Springs. The whole day ran on vintage cameras, not a LUT. Published kit notes name Canon 1014 XLS, Beaulieu 4008 mkII, and Eumig bodies on 100D Ektachrome and Vision 3 in 50 and 500. The film title leans on the table setup because the banner still is two long banquet tables between the grapevines: white linens, florals down the center, wooden chairs, and string lights overhead.

Wenjane and Susie's same-sex weekend is at Sacred Oaks on the same Camp Lucy property. The empty ceremony still is wooden chairs under live oak canopy, lanterns on stone pillars, and a floral stand waiting. Still 01 is the aisle from the back of the house: stone patio, geometric lanterns, guests on wood chairs, a white and pink floral arch, two brides, and an officiant in a white stole. The oaks take the upper two thirds of the frame. That is the architecture of this place. No walls. Just canopy.

We will not invent a Camp Lucy room that is not in those posts. If your hold is a different building on the estate, send the name. We will tell you how it relates to the vineyard day and the Sacred Oaks day we have already filmed.

Vineyard Super 8 and Sacred Oaks spaces we have actually filmed

Sarah's vineyard ceremony is established before anyone walks: a white runner, florals stacked at the altar, trees holding the light. Pearl Events and Stem Floral Design built a room in the vineyard without walls. The processional moves through the vines with guests in wooden chairs and Camp Lucy rows in the distance. The ceremony wide is the altar under the tree, guests filling the chairs, and vineyard holding the sides. Whole day on Super 8 means ceremony scale gets the same grain as the first dance.

The best table setup is not only a hero wide. Close frames show Stem Floral Design blooms in glass, place settings, and vineyard green behind the chairs. Night flips the same tables into glow under string lights. The first dance is under the canopy lights on a wooden floor, with Vision 3 500 when the night needs speed and still wants nostalgia. Cake on film is Quacks Bakery naked tiers with berries. Credits on that post also name James Moes, Erica Gray Beauty, and Pearl Events.

Sacred Oaks is a different room. Tip the camera and the venue becomes a ceiling: twisted live oak limbs, a little moss, pale sky in the gaps. Portraits walk twenty yards off the patio into cedar and limestone. Inside, the timber frame does the same job the oaks did outside. High trusses, a chandelier wrapped in vines, glass globes hanging at mixed heights, greenery on the posts. That is where the speeches land and the dancing starts. The night ends on a stone path with sparklers in two lines. Camp Lucy knows how to end a night. We welcome everyone on that property.

How a Camp Lucy film day usually reads

Getting ready and first looks when they are on the schedule. Ceremony coverage in the space you actually booked. On the published vineyard day that is the altar under the tree between the rows. On the published Sacred Oaks day that is vows on stone under the oak roof. Family moments that stay kind to the timeline. Golden hour portraits in the vines or in the cedar and limestone thicket. Reception storytelling through speeches, dancing, and the last light.

Digital can sit beside Super 8 when you want both coverage and grain. Sarah chose Super 8 as the hero reel for the whole day. Other couples ask for hybrid. We will not promise a Super 8-only archive of an eight-hour day. A cartridge is short. Ask for packages and say whether film is the hero reel or the texture.

Camp Lucy is close enough for an Austin couple and far enough that the sky still gets dark. Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio stay on the calendar. If guests are flying in, treat the weekend like a destination even when the drive from Austin is short.

What to send, and which film to watch first

From Hutto to Dripping Springs oaks

Camp Lucy is a Dripping Springs hold filmed from Hutto. The drive is Hill Country, not a destination flight. We still treat a vineyard Super 8 day as its own job: short cartridges, oak flare, and string lights that already look like stock.

If you found this hub from a Hutto wedding videographer search, the sister page explains the studio city. This page stays about Camp Lucy Vineyards and Sacred Oaks. Watch Sarah or Wenjane and Susie, then ask for packages with the exact ceremony hold.
