Vista West Ranch is a rustic barn venue in Dripping Springs, out in the Texas Hill Country west of Austin. I've filmed two weddings here, more than ten years apart, and it still has that easy, weathered charm.
The venue
A family owned barn venue in Dripping Springs on more than 35 acres, where weathered wood meets Texas bohemian chic. There's a bunkhouse and a honeymoon cottage on site for lodging.

Why Vista West Ranch works on film
Vista West Ranch is known for its rustic charm. Weathered wood, aged tin, and stained concrete floors give it a blend of bohemian and rustic style that looks great on camera, because it never feels too polished.
It's a family owned property in Dripping Springs, just minutes from Austin, with more than 35 acres to work with. Couples and their people can stay on site in the bunkhouse and the honeymoon cottage.
Ancel and Kyli
The film at the top of this page is Ancel and Kyli. I had the opportunity to film their wedding at Vista West Ranch, and it shows off everything I love about this place.
One of my favorite shots from their day is a quiet one, water beading on the windshield of a vintage truck. Then there are the family portraits, with Kyli holding a bouquet of deep red flowers and everyone dressed up and smiling.

My first film at Vista West Ranch goes back to 2013. The ceremony happened outside under a flower covered arch, with lanterns hanging beside the couple and the guests seated beneath the oaks.
Watching that film next to Ancel and Kyli's, the oaks and the relaxed Hill Country feel are exactly what I remember.
Filming your Vista West Ranch wedding
Dripping Springs is one of my favorite parts of the Hill Country to film in, and I'm out this way often for Camp Lucy, Canyonwood Ridge, and Ma Maison weddings. Vista West Ranch gives you an outdoor ceremony, a barn reception, and lots of rustic texture for portraits.
